“The true spirit of prayer is no other than God's own Spirit dwelling in the hearts of the saints. And as this spirit comes from God, so doth it naturally tend to God in holy breathings and pantings. It naturally leads to God, to converse with him by prayer.” Jonathan Edwards
And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior ... Luke 1:47
Mary goes on to say "for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant." The Psalmist wrote that "he remembers that we are but dust" and "what is man (& woman) that you are mindful of us?" What a wonder - what a curious thing - that God is mindful of us. Just knowing that the God of the universe is mindful of me - THAT inspires joy!
Praise God that He is the Lord of Hosts who is always with us.
Pray that we would have a spirit of revelation and wisdom to know Him better.
Pray that we would be strengthened by Jesus out of His glorious might.
Pray that God would give opportunities to spread His joy to hurting people we see.
Pray that God would fill you with joy, even and especially through times of difficulty.
Let's look with expectation for answers that God provides in these final days of 2019!
