Finish 2019 with 40 days of prayer! Day 11

“There is nothing that makes us love a man so much as praying for him.” William Law

"but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31

Our focus this week is on hope - the hope that we have while we live in the now and not yet. Between the first coming of Jesus as a baby and his return to restore all things. Strength is something that sometimes feel like it is in short supply. My physical strength has certainly become limited this past year, and Isaiah 40:31 has become one of my prayer. I can now walk and not faint - the running part, not so much yet. But our hope is in the Lord, who renews our strength and hears our prayer.

  • Pray that parents at CEC would be filled with hope in Jesus as they seek to raise their children to be lifelong followers of Jesus.

  • Pray that the children & youth at CEC would not just know about Jesus, but experience His truth in their lives at home and at school.

  • Pray for those in your family who need to know the hope of Jesus in their lives. Pray for opportunities to share that hope.

  • Pray for the Pictures with Santa outreach - our hope is that people who wouldn't normally come into a "religious" space would have a positive church experience, opening the door for spiritual conversations.

  • Pray for those who are struggling to find hope in hard circumstances.

Let's look with expectation for answers that God provides in these final days of 2019!
