Our Purpose

In Jesus steps, we walk ...

in unity - not uniformity, but unity in the fact that we believe in and serve Jesus Christ.

in service - We seek to find practical ways to serve our community through organizations such as LOVE, INC. and Community Outreach.  We also look for ways to serve each other, knowing that in all these things we are showing our love for God, not meeting some requirement.

as evidence - We know that people see our lives.  We seek to "put feet to our faith" - showing those around us that a life with Christ makes a difference.

toward maturity - Knowing that our human tendency is to take life easy, we encourage everyone to start where they are and take steps to know God better.  Everyone has room to grow. 

so that together ...

We exalt Him.  In everything we do, we try to point people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, "so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other."  (I Kings 8:60, NIV)

The first letter of these key words form the acronym that becomes our prayer "Lord, USE ME."  That is our prayer as a church family - that God would use us to make a difference in this world and in eternity.
