Intentional Disciplemaking - What is it?

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..."  Matthew 28:19-20

Intentional Disciplemaking - not a common phrase.  Aren't all those who follow Christ "intentional" in their decision to do so?  Yes, but many times a church is content to make someone a "disciple" but neglects to "teach them to obey everything I have commanded you"  (Matthew 28:20.)
We believe that each person is in a different place in his/her understanding and knowledge of Jesus Christ.  We desire to encourage everyone to start where they are and move to know God better.

There are many ways to encourage spiritual growth, but at CEC, we've found that there are several avenues that best help people to become "intentional" disciples of Jesus Christ.
